Description

This class is our "traditional" class for children who approach and turn four during the school year. The curriculum is designed to meet the developmental needs of most children this age group, while still preparing them for a smooth transition to Kindergarten.

In the 3 hour day, there is 1 hour and 10 minutes of free choice time.

The directed activities are two whole group times, and three "table" activities, where the children are divided into groups, and directed in an activity aimed at skill development, thinking skills, creativity, problem solving, following directions and completing an activity.

Class size is 20, with a one to five ratio of adults to children. There is one teacher, a paid aide, and parent volunteers to make up this ratio.
